Wedding Planning with Nic!

The Love Story

Myself and Sam first set eyes on each other at work in 2012. It was only when we became good friends we got to know each other and then fell love. I remember Sam asking me out for a meal and said that be had a confession to make...he had feelings for me and wanted me to be his girlfriend! I remember having goose bumps and feeling so happy as I had too had grown to have feelings for him!. Not long after making it official we decided we wanted to buy a house together. We moved into our perfect home in 2014 and had the most beautiful daughter Ava the year after. We both loved being parents and always knew we would had more children. 5 years later we became pregnant with twins! Ava was delighted to be a big sister to Arthur and Annabelle who were born in August 2020.

The Proposal & Finding the venue

With our family complete I was on Cloud Nine. I didn't think the day I brought the twins home could get any better then Sam proposed! I was overwhelmed to say the least.

Only a few days after I started to look into venues, I was too excited! I fell instantly in love with one venue I looked at online and arranged a viewing the week after. When we arrived we where blown away, it was everything we wanted and so much more. We made enquires to book the venue. We wanted the wedding over February half term 2022 and amazingly the only availability they had was Valentine’s Day which made it even more special! The date was set 14th February 2022.

Bits & Bobs

The following weeks we were busy booking the photographer, videography, DJ, dance floor and flowers. Once the invitations started to arrive our family and friends thought we were mad! Planning a wedding with new born twins! We didn’t care and were up for the challenge.

It was so important for us to find the perfect videographer and photographer to capture our wedding day so in years to come we could watch it back with our babies as they get older, I’m sure they will love watching themselves over and over on repeat with me!

The Dress

With the wedding plans well on the way the next big job to do was the dress, Yes! The Wedding Dress ekk. After waiting a few months to loose the baby belly I went on a hunt to find my dress. Knowing what I wanted I found it quite difficult as nobody seemed to understand my vision or actually have it in a whole dress. Then I visited Alex at Because I Love You, she was on my wavelength knew exactly what I wanted and found me my perfect wedding dress! Amazing.

Glam Squad

With just months to go until the wedding the hair and make up trials have been just been done. I can't tell you how disappointing it is to take down fancy hair and rub off beautiful makeup before going back home as I've never looked or felt so nice, especially nowadays with the twins!

Bridal Party

The suits and bridesmaids dresses were both chosen and ordered on the same day, they matched perfectly with the colour scheme so all that worrying was for absolutely nothing!

Ava is more excited than me to wear her princess dress and is now counting down the sleeps. She will be my little mini me on the day as we have matching bouquets.

The Final Countdown

It’s all feeling very real now with only a final meeting at the venue and a menu tasting event which Sam has been waiting all year to do and then we are nearly good to go.

With 2 flower girls and a page boy under the age of 2 walking down the aisle I’m just praying they are in a good mood! But what amazing pictures we will have with our gorgeous bundles of joy on the big day.
